Tanzania is filled with many national parks and Tarangire National park is one of them. It is located around the Manyara area and the name of the park is gotten from the Tarangire river. This river is the source of fresh water for the wildlife during dry season.

Pemba Island

Selous Game Reserve

This is a 50,000 square kilometre area protected by the government. it is part of the UNESCO world heritage area due to the abundance of its wildlife.

Ruaha National Park

This the largest protected area in Tanzania and east Africa.It is made of a game reserve, wetlands and other natural areas. Ruaha National park is located in the middle of Tanzania close to Iringa.

The name of the park is gotten from the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its South-Eastern margin and is the focus for game-viewing. The park can be reached by car via Iringa and there is an airstrip at Msembe, park headquarters.
