Ireland Visa Requirements:

If you want to get Visa to Ireland then make sure you submit the following documents to enable the process be seamless without hiccups. The requirements are stated below depending on the purpose of going to the country.

For short stay visa application:

  1. Duly signed and filled Application form plus 1 photocopy.
  2. International Passport plus  photocopies of all the pages
  3. One set of original documents and one set of the photocopies of the original documents as per the relevant checklist.
  4. Two recent passport photograph
  5. Hotel Reservation or Accommodation proof of the person, or company inviting you.
  6. Travel tickets from Airline
  7. Insurance
  8. Proof of funds
  9. Bank Statement
  10. Letter of Invitation if you are invited by a company, friend or family
  11. A3 size Prepaid courier service return envelope (Effective 1 October 2014, Only UPS prepaid courier envelope available at the Visa Application Centre for N 4500/- will be accepted with the applications, to ensure safe delivery of the passports and documents)

For Long stay visa application

  1. Filled and signed Application form
  2. International Passport valid for 12 months
  3. Two set of photocopies of all the pages of passport(s)
  4. 1 set of Original & 02 sets of Photocopies of documents as per the relevant checklist
  5. Two sized passport photographs.
  6. Flight Ticket
  7. Accommodation Proof: This could be Hotel, Friend or family address. This must be shown on document.
  8. Travel Insurance
  9. A3 size Prepaid courier service return envelope (Effective 1 October 2014, Only UPS prepaid courier envelope available at the Visa Application Centre for N 4500/- will be accepted with the applications, to ensure safe delivery of the passports and documents)

Apart from the basic documents, applicants are requested to submit the requisite documents for the visa category applying for, together with your visa application. Please make sure that you have all the documents indicated in the list, since no visa application would be accepted if one or several documents are missing.

Please Note: The Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the Department of Foreign Affairs or any Irish Embassy or Consulate may ask for further documentation at any stage.

Ireland Visa Fee

It is of importance to note that Visa Fees are non-refundable. Also the payment should only be done in Naira at the bank counter in the application centre.

  • Single-Journey N 24000 ( €60.00*)
  • Multiple-Journey N 41000 ( €100.00**)

Apart from the payment of visa fee, a VAC service charge of Naira 17600 (Inclusive of VAT) and bank charges of Naira 400 (Inclusive of VAT) should be paid upon submission of your visa application.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants are requested to read the following steps carefully before submitting their application at the Ireland Visa Application Centre Lagos or Abuja.

Step 1: Complete the online visa application form and take a print out of the completed form, and also fill up the additional questionnaire which is available here.

Please note: It is mandatory to submit a fully filled questionnaire with every application.

Step 2: Visit the Visa Application Centre.

Step 3: Pay your visa application fee, services fee and bank fee at the bank teller counter at the Visa Application Centres.
Step 4: Submit your application form with supporting documents & photocopies of the same and have your fingerprints taken (all applicants aged 6 years and over)
